About Me
On this website you can find my work as a cinematographer and editor for DePaul University, WTVO/WQRF News, and Our City Our Story, Rockford Illinois.
The production process, unrecognized by the average viewer, is what captivates me. I am intrigued by how multiple art forms - music, photography, theater, and fashion - must coalesce in order for the intended message to translate. There is the potential to elicit the full range of human emotions. There is the chance to spark reflection about what it means to be human.
As a media studies major at Loras College and a masters student in cinematography at DePaul University, I have been able to immerse myself in all stages of the production process - brainstorming, shooting, logging, editing, and exporting. My field experience is complemented by coursework that has exposed me to what stretches beyond the movie theater, including the cultural and economic impact of the media industry.
"My three P's: passion, patience, perseverance. You have to do this if you've got to be a filmmaker." -Robert Wise
